AWT5 overview

Audio Watermarking Tools 5 (AWT5) is a proprietary patented* audio triggering and watermarking solution designed for reliable over-the-air digital signaling in real-world listening environments. AWT5 is intended for applications such as second-screen synchronization, interactive experiences, mobile triggering, event initiation, and other workflows that require digital codes to be transmitted through acoustic sound waves. AWT5 can also be used for forensic watermarking. It is based on a fully proprietary technique for hiding data inside acoustic audio content, and its codes are designed to survive loudspeaker-to-microphone transmission, lossy audio coding (e.g. MP3, YouTube), FM and TV broadcast paths, and heavy room reverberation such as in living rooms or halls. AWT5 replaces AWT2 in applications requiring reliable over-the-air detection.
