AWT1 overview

Audio Watermarking Tools 1 (AWT1) is a set of software utilities for embedding and retrieving digital watermarks in audio files. AWT1 uses proprietary patented* technology to embed imperceptible watermarks directly into audio content so they cannot be removed without degrading the original signal. The tools are distributed as a package of GUI and console/command-line utilities for Microsoft Windows 7/Vista/XP/NT/2000/Server, Apple Mac OS X, and Linux/*nix Intel and ARM systems.

AWT1 implements a so-called "strict watermarking" approach, meaning the original, non-watermarked source audio is required to detect and decode the watermark in the watermarked recording. Watermark extraction is performed by comparing the source and watermarked streams.

All packages contain command-line (terminal) encoder and decoder tools, a detailed technology manual, and illustrative examples. If you wish to integrate AWT1 into your software, AWT1 SDK is available for all major desktop, server, and mobile platforms upon request.
